The Strategic Management Cycle provides a single list for Directors General and Chief Executives which identifies their statutory and administrative requirements that occur each year for Departmental planning, budgeting, service delivery and reporting.
The Strategic Management Cycle has recently been revised and updated based on the advice of the Directors General Executive Committee.
The new Strategic Management Cycle consists of an indicative month-by-month summary of when important requirements need to be met plus links to websites which provide public sector requirements in detail.
It can be found on the website of the Department of Premier and Cabinet in the publications section at www.dpc.nsw.gov.au/publications/the_strategic_management_cycle. The Calendar has been produced as a pdf file for easy printing.
The Strategic Management Cycle is specifically relevant to Budget Sector Departments and agency clusters and is likely to also be useful to non-Budget agencies.

All public sector agencies other than State Owned Corporations. This includes all agencies and employees in the Government Service (Public Service Departments, Non-Public Service Divisions and Special Employment Divisions), the Teaching Service, NSW Police and the NSW Health Service.”
