The parking space levy has increased effective from 1 July 2010
Circular 2010-17 SES/Senior Officer Motor Vehicle Charges 2010-2011 advised of the increased levy rate as it applies to SES and Senior Officers.
This Circular extends the advice to other public sector employees who may be affected by the parking space levy.
Apart from the increased rates, administrative and payment procedures remain unchanged.

Circular 2010-17 SES/Senior Officer Motor Vehicle Charges 2010-2011 included advice about the increased parking space levy rates for Senior Executive and Senior Officers.

This Circular extends the advice in respect to all public sector employees who may be affected by the parking space levy.

The following increased rates are effective from 1 July 2010:

Category 1 areas (business districts of Sydney, North Sydney and Milsons Point) increase to $2040 pa per space.
Category 2 areas (business districts of Bondi Junction, Chatswood, Parramatta and St Leonards) increase to $720 pa per space.

Which agencies does this Circular apply to?
All public sector agencies other than State Owned Corporations. This includes all agencies and employees in the Government Service (Public Service Departments, Non-Public Service Divisions and Special Employment Divisions), the Teaching Service, NSW Police and the NSW Health Service.
