Detailed Outline
Ministry is relocating to 52 Martin Place
Agencies are advised that the entire Ministry is relocating from Governor Macquarie Tower (GMT) to 52 Martin Place in stages commencing Monday 1 September 2014. The relocation of the Ministry is expected to be completed by mid-September 2014.
The new street address will be 52 Martin Place, Sydney with entrances from Phillip and Elizabeth streets, and through the retail arcade in the Martin Place station concourse area.
The Treasury and the Department of Premier and Cabinet are also relocating to 52 Martin Place in October and November 2014 respectively.
Contacting Ministers’ offices
The email addresses and mobile telephone numbers of Ministers and their staff have not changed.
All Ministers’ offices have been issued with new telephone and e-fax numbers, but old GMT numbers will continue to be redirected to 52 Martin Place for a minimum of six months.
Visiting Ministers’ offices
Visitor access passes for 52 Martin Place are available from the NSW Government Security and Concierge Desk off Phillip Street. GMT access passes will be deactivated and should be returned to reception at GMT or 52 Martin Place.
Short-term disabled parking is available upon request in advance of arrival, but otherwise visitor car parking is not available at 52 Martin Place.
Frequent visitors to GMT will have their access transferred to 52 Martin Place and will be issued with new security passes from their Minister’s office.
As the relocation overlaps with Parliamentary sitting days agencies should confirm meeting locations with Ministers’ offices in advance.
Mail and couriers
The mailing address for the Ministry will continue to be GPO Box 5341, Sydney NSW 2001. All mail sent to the GMT street address will be redirected to 52 Martin Place via the government sorting facility at Alexandria.
Existing regular courier services between agencies and Ministers’ offices will continue at 52 Martin Place unimpeded. Unregistered or ad hoc courier deliveries that arrive at 52 Martin Place will be re-directed to the government sorting facility at Alexandria.
Updates required to agency websites
Agencies should consult with their Minister’s office regarding updating contact details on agency websites. All Ministers’ offices have been provided with their new telephone and fax numbers.
