Ministers are annually requested to arrange for the provision of updated details on the membership of Boards within their administrations.

My department is this year intending to establish a single, definitive database on Board mem6ers to provide accurate information on remuneration and membership details.

1 would appreciate all Ministers arranging for the provision of details regarding Boards within th4*r administration and also any significant non-statutory standing Committees where part-time members are in receipt of fees. This information can be recorded either on the pro forma or disk enclosed. Please also note if there are any particular requirements for appointments to these Boards or Committees.

As part of this project I would like to increase the representation of qualified women and people of non-English speaking backgrounds on Boards. A register of top women in NSW has been commissioned and will be held by the Office of Public Management. Ministers could assist in advancing this initiative by referring to this register when considering candidates for appointment to Boards and Committees.

I would ask that the information requested above be forwarded to the Personnel Policy Division of OPM by 16th March, 19
