About
On 20 November 1995 Cabinet approved the appointment of the 16 member Social justice Reference Group. The Reference Group is the first of its kind in New South Wales and will be the highest level advisory body to the Government on its social justice policies and strategies.
The Social justice Reference Group will report to the Premier through the Deputy Premier on matters referred to it by the Government. The members of and terms of reference for the Reference Group are attached. The Reference Group will meet at least four times a year and be serviced by The Cabinet Office.
Ministers who may wish to refer matters to the Social Justice Reference Group should forward their proposal to the Director General, The Cabinet Office. The Cabinet Office will provide any further advice that might be required and arrange for the necessary approvals.
