M1996-11 Dealing with Employee Work-related Concerns and Grievances, and Harassment free Workplace

The Dealing with Employee Work-Related Concerns and Grievances Policy and Guidelines, and the Harassment Free Workplace Policy and Guidelines have been developed in consultation with public sector agencies and unions. The guidelines will assist agencies to develop their own grievance handling policy and to achieve harassment free workplaces.

The Dealing with Employee Work-Related Concerns and Grievances Policy and Guidelines, and the Harassment Free Workplace Policy and Guidelines have been developed in consultation with public sector agencies and unions. The guidelines will assist agencies to develop their own grievance handling policy and to achieve harassment free workplaces.

The New South Wales Government is committed to fostering productive, equitable and harmonious workplaces which are free from all forms of harassment.

Public sector agencies are required to develop and implement policies to ensure that work-related concerns and grievances are managed promptly, impartially and justly, and that harassment in the workplace is eliminated.

The Dealing with Employee Work-Related Concerns and Grievances Policy and Guidelines, and the Harassment Free Workplace Policy and Guidelines have been developed in consultation with public sector agencies and unions.

The guidelines will assist agencies to develop their own grievance handling policy and to achieve harassment free workplaces.

To further assist agencies, the Office of the Director of Equal Opportunity in Public Employment has developed Harassment Free Workplaces Training Activities for Managers and Supervisors. A copy of each agency's harassment free workplace policy is to be forwarded to that Office with their annual EEO report.

Please ensure that all public sector agencies within your administration, including outside the public service, adopt the Dealing with Employee Work Related Concerns and Grievances Policy and Guidelines, and the Harassment Free Workplace Policy and Guidelines.
