This Memorandum introduces conduct guidelines for members of government boards and committees. The guidelines define the standards of behaviour expected of members and also provide sources of information and advice on ethical and accountability issues of relevance to the NSW public sector.
All boards should have a code of conduct and advisory committees should also be encouraged to develop a code of conduct to define their values and behaviour. I ask Ministers to bring the guidelines to the attention of members of boards and committees within their administration.
A copy of the guidelines is enclosed<. They may also be accessed from the Premier’s Department web site.
