The Cabinet Sub Committee on Counter Terrorism has been assured that all agencies have in place security plans which recognise the potential for terrorist attacks. The Premier has asked me to emphasise that he expects all Chief Executive Officers to treat these plans with the highest level of management attention and in accordance with any directions by the NSW Police.
All Chief Executives are to ensure that their agency's security plans are operational.
I also draw the attention of Ministers and Chief Executives to Premier's Department Circular 2003-03 which deals with the procedures for reporting security incidents. These procedures are to be adhered to stringently.
