The Government's policy in relation to the appointment and remuneration of members of Government boards and committees is outlined in the revised document Guidelines for NSW Board and Committee Members: Appointments and Remuneration. These guidelines contain advice in regard to appointment procedures, categorisation and remuneration, taxation and superannuation guarantee obligations, and the payment of allowances.
The new guidelines are issued with this Memorandum and supersede those issued by the Premier's Department in June 2002
It would be appreciated if you would bring this Memorandum to the attention of all Chief Executive Officers in your administration requesting them to ensure that it is disseminated to Chairpersons of Government boards and committees and to officers involved in preparing recommendations on such appointments.
