P1995-32 Information Forums

In 1994 the former Senior Executive Services (now Management Improvement) initiated regular meetings with agendas on existing and emerging people management policy issues.

To facilitate the Government's reform agenda for the SES and to facilitate discussion on agency issues relating to the administration of the SES, the PEO will co-ordinate Information Forums to:

• provide advice to agencies on current SES people management issues and policies
• assist agencies in clarifying emerging and existing policy advice and issues arising

The Information Forums will be co-ordinated by the PEO with various central agency representatives attending. The forums will cover current issues resulting from the Government's reform agenda for the SES and issues raised by agencies.

The forums will be on a 'rolling basis', initially six (6) weekly, commencing on 21 November 1995. The maximum attendees per forum will be twelve (12). All agencies will have the opportunity to attend. Invitations and requests for discussion items, will be sent out to agencies approximately 4 weeks prior to the forum date. There is provision for agencies to arrange to attend another forum should the date not be suitable.
