The Memorandum provides for voluntary redundancy, where redeployment is not practicable.
To assist with the Public Employment Office's reporting on voluntary redundancy in the NSW public sector, it would be appreciated if your organisation could provide the following information:

The number of employees who have accepted voluntary redundancy since 1
March 1995 to 29 February 1996. - The number of employees who are to be offered voluntary redundancy between 1 March and 30 June 1996.
- The number of employees who are to be offered voluntary redundancy between 1 July 1996 and 30 June 1997.
- Any further forward estimates on the number of voluntary' redundancy offers.
This information is requested by close of business on Thursday 7 March 1996. The information may be sent by facsimile to the Public Employment Office on (02) 228 4420. Any difficulties in providing the information should be brought to the attention of Ian Peters on telephone number (02) 228 3530.
You are also requested to provide up to date information as at 30 June 1996 and on a quarterly basis thereafter. Other information to be kept under the Policy on Managing Displaced Employees is at Appendix B to the Memorandum.
