As you would be aware from the recent article in The Sydney Morning Herald, the Government is considering proposals to reform the Senior Executive Service (SES).
The proposals relate to the formation of a new Senior Executive Officer structure between Grade 12 and the SES to absorb the lower levels of the SES.
At this stage, the Government has not made a decision. Chief Executives will be consulted in the further consideration of the proposals and their implications.
The intention is to explore options which allow for security and career progression while at the same time maintaining the SES within the Government's election commitments.
