My office is presently addressing the question of Senior Officer progression for officers A&C Grade 12 or equivalent. In formulating any proposal detailed consultation with Chief Executive Officer's will occur.
A working party has been established through the Chief Executive Committee to consider methods of formulating a new classification structure between A&C Grade 12 and SES Band 1. The intention is to explore options which allow for security and career progression while at the same tinge maintaining the SES within the Government's election commitments.
The Government will not abolish SES Band I and 2 Lower (old SES Level 1,2,&3) these remain unchanged.
Proposals will be widely canvassed with CEOs for detailed comment and to consider any implications.
