Thank you for assisting with the redeployment of employees affected by organisation restructures and other administrative priorities.

As you are aware, arrangements have been implemented within the Workforce Management Centre to assist employees with placement in vacancies. The effectiveness of these arrangements depends on your organisation:

1.  Advising the Centre of the details of your employees available for redeployment;
2.  Giving a clear description in draft advertisements of position requirements; and
3.  Undertaking an early priority assessment of those employees referred for consideration.

Employees being assessed have already satisfied the requirements for merit selection at the job level for which they are to be considered for redeployment. The assessment process is to satisfy your organisation that the employee would be able to do the job in a reasonable period of time, with appropriate support and training.
