PSCC-2014-05 2014 Premier’s Awards for Public Service

The Premier’s Awards for Public Service recognise excellence in the delivery of public services by individuals and organisations in the public, private and non-for-profit sectors. In 2014 the awards will focus on ‘customer service’. Nominations open on 3 April 2014 and close on 11 July 2014. Awards Ambassadors will coordinate the awards program across agencies.

The Premier’s Awards for Public Service is comprised of four awards:

  • Premier’s Public Sector Awards, which recognises outstanding performance and achievement in the public sector.
  • Premier’s Partnership Award, which recognises outstanding partnerships between public sector teams and business, non-government and/or academic/training organisations delivering results against at least one goal in NSW 2021.
  • Premier’s Award for Excellence in Public Service Delivery, which recognises non-government service providers that consistently provide outstanding services to the community on behalf of the NSW Government.
  • Premier’s Award for Individual Excellence and Achievement, which recognises public sector employees who have provided exceptional levels of customer service and innovation in delivering results for individuals, business and/or the community.

Individuals and agencies are encouraged to nominate staff, peers, projects and partnerships that showcase the excellent achievements in their organisations.
Nominations open on 3 April 2014.The nominated Award Ambassadors will coordinate the awards program across their agency. With the exception of the Premier’s Award for Individual Excellence and Achievement, which opens throughout the year, all nominations will close on 11 July 2014.
Finalists will be announced on the website in October 2014.Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, 12 November 2014. Further information on the awards is available at www.publicserviceawards.nsw.gov.au.
