Administrative Requirements

The NSW Public Sector Aboriginal Employment Strategy 2014-2017 has been released and is available on the PSC website.

All remuneration packages should be costed using the attached charges and include the parking space levy (where applicable), fringe benefits tax and either the vehicle's standard operating lease offered by StateFleet or equivalent depreciation and interest.

TC15-08: Agency Carry Forwards is required to be uploaded to the Treasury Website, along with the excel attachment.

Under the Government Sector Employment Regulation 2014, the notional salary determines: the money value of accrued annual leave owing to a Public Service senior executive who elects for the whole or part of this to be paid upon ceasing to be employed in a government sector agency and immediately commencing employment in another government sector agency in accordance with Clause 29; the money value of extended leave accrued or payable to a Public Service senior executive in accordance with Schedule 1; and the amount of the allowance to be paid to a Public Service non-executive employee who is temporarily assigned to an executive role (being the difference between the salary of the person’s usual role and the notional salary of the executive role to which the person is temporarily assigned), in accordance with Clause 21.

The purpose of this standard is to establish the requirements for effective records and information management.

Agency Heads may approve the provision of employee housing: when such assistance is essential to the continuation of priority government services and the employee cannot obtain private accommodation which is of a reasonable standard, in a reasonable location and at a reasonable rent; or when the special duties to be performed require the employee to live on-site or close to the work site.

The Financial Reporting Code (the Code) applies to all New South Wales General Government Sector (GGS) entities.

Summary: All NSW public sector entities must apply Australian Accounting Standards.
