Detailed Outline
CIRCULAR NO. 98-97 PUBLICATION OF SES GUIDELINES AND LAUNCH OF SES_NET
I am writing to advise you of the publication of the SES Guidelines and of the establishment of an electronic discussion group for SES Administrators (SES_Net).
The SES Guidelines publication replaces the SES Administrators Manual 1994. The target audience for the SES Guidelines is SES Administrators and SES officers.
The SES Guidelines have been published in electronic form only and may be accessed through the Premier’s Department Web site at http://www.dpc.nsw.gov.au/pubs.htm. This approach is consistent with the Connect.NSW strategy and will facilitate timely update of the Guidelines. The intention is that the SES Guidelines will be revised and updated at the same time as relevant Premier’s Department Circulars or Premier's Memoranda are issued. Limited numbers of disk copies in Word 6 format are available on request to those agencies that do not yet have Internet access. Requests giving mailing address should be forwarded to: fax (02) 9228 4056 or (02) 9228 3121 or [email protected] (email).
Comments on the Guidelines and suggestions for improvement is encouraged and should be directed to the same address.
A moderated, closed discussion group for SES Administrators (SES_Net) has been established. The objectives of the network are:
- to allow SES Administrators to seek advice and share information in an efficient and cost-effective manner;
- to allow Premier’s Department staff to monitor trends and issues and to participate in the network; and
- to enable the Public Sector Management Office to efficiently consult SES Administrators regarding policy development.
SES_Net may be accessed at http://www.dpc.nsw.gov.au/forums/sesnet/. All SES Administrators are encouraged to join the discussion group by registering at this location.
Enquiries regarding the SES Guidelines and SES_Net may be directed to Stephen Auburn, Senior Policy Officer, Strategic Policy and Reform on (02) 9228-5627 or email: [email protected].
