Description
Following the first release of the HR eXpert system, which was implemented on the Premier's Department web site in March 2004, the final modules of HR eXpert are now available through the Premier's Department web site.
Detailed Outline
The HR eXpert System is an "intelligent" internet-based system which provides self service access to advice on employment conditions and entitlements for staff employed under the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 (PSEMA).
The system was developed by the Public Employment Office (PEO) with assistance and expertise from a range of agencies across the sector. Its objectives are to improve HR advice and information in terms of quality, consistency and timeliness and to support the shift in HR focus to value-adding strategic functions (eg workforce planning).
The first release of the system was implemented on the Premier's Department web site in March 2004. This release included modules relating to Maternity Leave, Study Time, Extended Leave and Recognition of Prior Service, Leaving the Service and Voluntary Redundancy. Since its introduction, the system has had high levels of access and positive feedback has been received from many agencies.
The final modules of HR eXpert are now available through the Premier's Department web site. These modules address:
Travel Allowances
Higher Duties Allowance
Salary Packaging; and
An agency list which provides details of past and present NSW agencies
