Nominations are now invited for 2009 Premier's Public Sector Awards, held annually to formally recognise and reward achievements of excellence by public sector individuals, work teams and agency partnerships. This includes all agencies and employees in the Government Service (Public Service Departments, Non-Public Service Divisions and Special Employment Divisions), the Teaching Service, NSW Police and the NSW Health Service.

The Award categories recognise outstanding achievements in the following categories:

  • Leading Change
  • Delivering Services
  • Engaging with the Community
  • Project Delivery Making it Happen
  • Succeeding Through Innovation
  • Premiers Priority Category Award Ensuring Jobs in NSW.

Nominations are to be submitted electronically as outlined in the attached Guidelines and Nomination Form. The closing date for entries is Friday, 11 September 2009.

I encourage all Chief Executives to nominate achievements from their organisations for a 2009 Premiers Public Sector Award.
