Detailed Outline

The 2012 Reserve Forces Day Parade will be held on Sunday 1 July 2012 in Sydney. The parade will acknowledge the service over the last 60 years of Reservists , in particular those who volunteered to serve overseas.

Further parades will be held in other NSW regional centres including Parkes and Lismore/Murwillumbah.

Public sector employees eligible to attend the parades who are rostered to work on the day the parade is to be held in their locality may apply for either a change in the roster for that day or for accrued leave. Accrued leave includes flex leave, recreation leave or extended leave. Applications for either a change in roster or accrued leave are subject to their agency’s operational requirements.

Public sector agencies are encouraged to release eligible employees to attend the parades where possible.
