As an interim phase in the development of performance reward programs for staff in positions below SES, Chief Executive Officers may consider using accelerated progression through existing incremental scales as a means of acknowledging outstanding employee performance.

Travelling Allowances within Australia: Travelling allowances have recently been reviewed following variations to the rates for Clause 39 of the Public Sector Management (General) Regulation, 1988 and the following rates are to be effective on and from lst December, 1990 for each group of officers.
