Since the 1989 report on the Supply of Goods and Services by the Standing Committee on State Development a broad range of reforms has been implemented within the NSW Supply Service and the processes of improvement are continuing.

Approval has been given for the sale of buttons, pens, ribbons or emblems or the circulation of blank subscription lists throughout government departments with the exception of the Roads and Traffic Authority, the State Rail Authority and the State Transit Authority by Amnesty International Australia on Friday 18 October, 1991 Arran gements will vary for departments in buildings occupied wholly by state government organisations and for departments sharing a building with non-government bodies.
