Administrative Requirements

The NSW Government Sector Senior Executive Work Level Standards provide a classifying framework to enable departments and agencies to determine the appropriate band for senior executive roles under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act), excluding Department Secretaries.

This document replaces Treasurer’s guidelines for the reduction in land value for certain build-to-rent properties for Land Tax purposes (2020).

The purpose of this Policy is to provide requirements and practical guidance for valuing physical non-current assets for general purpose financial reporting.

On 19 September 2025, the IRC made the Crown Employees Wages Staff (Rates of Pay) Award 2024 providing increases to wages and wage related allowances as follows: 4 per cent from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024; 3 per cent from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025; and 3 per cent from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026Agencies should process the adjustments to wages and allowances in accordance with the attached schedule for employees who were employed from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2024.

Reporting Requirements Data Provision From 20 November 2025, all agencies must provide ICT and digital-related data, as per the data categories outlines below, to Digital NSW upon request.

Investment Delivery AuthorityThe NSW Government has established the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA).

The skills shortage allowance has been determined by the Industrial Relations Secretary pursuant to section 52 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.

Mandatory use of ICT Purchasing Framework When entering into an arrangement with a supplier for the procurement of ICT goods and services and related goods and services, an Agency must use the relevant ICT Purchasing Framework documents unless: a current mandated whole of government contract for the relevant ICT goods or services to be procured is in place; or exempted by the Procurement Board or its authorised delegate.
