Administrative Requirements

The purpose of this Memorandum is to extend the policy on remuneration for public employees who serve on New South Wales Government boards and committees.

On 20 April, 1999 the Premier issued Memorandum 99-10 which announced a suspension of advertising and filling vacancies throughout all Budget Dependent General Government Sector Agencies.

At the meeting on 3 November 2000, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed to commission a review of the number and functions of current Ministerial Councils.

On 31 December, 2000, the last of the Y2K dates of concern in 2000 passed without incident.

The Senior Officer classification was established in December 1996 to provide additional capacity for NSW public service organisations to recognise the work value of non-Senior Executive Service positions.

A Full Bench of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission handed down its review of the principles for approval of NSW Enterprise Agreements (the Principles).
