The Parliamentary Remuneration Tribunal has determined that when travelling on official business Ministers will be paid the following travelling allowances per day effective as from 1 July 1996: Capital Cities Other Areas Where no overnight stay is involved $260 $151 $66 An absence from Sydney for a period in excess of six hours shall be the minimum requirement for the payment of travelling allowance where no overnight absence is involved.
